Project specification gave rise to team's initial concept of operations:
Agile methodology was used for this project because of:
A Kanban board was implemented in Asana as a management tool to enhance collaboration and a way for the team to see progress and updates.
The initial concept of operations changed when the introduction of the EVEBOT printpen to the class was made:
Research on food printing and its surrounding domains was carried out early in the project to form concepts that would fit into the project's theme. These domains were explored:
With the introduction to the EVEBOT printpen at a later stage of the project, research was done to understand the system, such as its functionality, use cases and target audience.
Decisions have to be made such as to minimize risks, optimize outcomes, and ensure that the project stays aligned with project goals. These are some assessments that the team made throughout the project:
Exploratory research guided the team towards a preliminary concept of a system. If it passes the preliminary decision making process, further research and a sketch is produced to convey concepts to the main
stakeholder or product owner to justify further project development.
The team had developed 3 concepts which was scrapped as it failed the decision making process when further development and testing to the system was made. The 3 concepts was also scrapped due to the introduction of the EVEBOT printpen.
